How to support the parish, and how Gift Aid adds to your gift.

Supporting the parish
The parish is funded entirely by the people who give to it. Our mission, from the liturgical services and the Sunday School to the administrative costs, is paid for from those gifts.
The best way to give is a standing order to the parish bank account. It costs nothing in fees, and the parish can claim Gift Aid on it, which adds 25% to a gift from a UK taxpayer.

Set up a standing order in three steps
Add the parish as a payee
In your online banking, add a new payee using the account name, sort code and account number alongside. Most banks confirm the name matches before you save it.
Set up a standing order
Choose an amount and a day of the month. Any amount is welcome. A regular gift, however small, lets the parish plan its year.
Complete a Gift Aid declaration
If you pay UK tax, fill in the short form once. The parish can then claim Gift Aid on everything you give.

These are our only official bank details. If you receive different account details by email or phone claiming to be from the parish, please call the church office to confirm before sending anything.
Gift Aid
An extra 25%, at no cost to you
Gift Aid lets the parish, as a registered charity, reclaim the basic-rate tax on a gift from a UK taxpayer: for every £10 you give, the parish receives £12.50. To allow this, you complete one declaration, which covers everything you give from then on. It asks for your name and address.
The form is provided by Google and loads only when you choose. What you enter goes to Google and to the parish treasurer, who keeps it for the Gift Aid claim.

A one-off transfer
Send a gift to the same account at any time. Put your name as the reference so the parish can match it to a Gift Aid declaration.
At the church
There is a collection at every Liturgy, and everything at the Church Stall is offered for a suggested donation.
Ask after the Liturgy
Any of the clergy will gladly help you set up a standing order, or answer questions about Gift Aid, over the meal after the Sunday service.
